Hello,
does anyone know if the New Hebridean Stamps remained valid after July 30th 1980 and - if yes - how long? I haven´t found anything about this topic.
Another question: Did the old vanuatuan FNH stamps remained valid after the currency change in 1981?
Best greetings

AT least the NH stamps have been used after independence.
Here are three samples from Jim too:

As to the FNH stamps our friend the late Jacques Merot wrote that they could be used further.
(from Jim Crompton too - thanks Jim)

Thank you for your help! The reason I asked this question is, that I found a letter in my collection with Vanuatuan stamps and New Hebridean stamps on it (date of postmark is August 29th 1980). The Vanuatuan stamps were from the 1980 "maps"-set, the New Hebridean ones from the 1977 "maps"-set. Maybe the NH stamps remained valid after independence or maybe the Post Officer just mistook the stamps (because the two sets look so similar) and marked the NH stamps by accident.
