I emailed Mr. de Montbas, referring him to the scans on our website and to the works of Phillips and Rodger & Duberal, where the first and second imitations are illustrated. His response was to thank us for the information, one of his philatelic pleasures is to keep learning every day and he will withdraw the stamp from sale. It appears from this that he is a dealer who issues his own certificates. Enough said.
