York Meeting

To celebrate our 50th anniversary a weekend meeting will be held, from the evening of Friday 15 June to the morning of Sunday 17 June 2012, at Lady Anne Middleton's Hotel, Skeldergate, York YO1 6DS. The programme of events is:

 

Friday. 6.30 to 8.30, dinner. 8.00 to 9.30, display of Tonga by Martin Baxendale.

 

Saturday 9.30 - 11.00, display of Solomon Islands (GVIR period) by Robin Sherman. 11.00 to 11.30, coffee. 11.30 to 1.00, display of Norfolk Island by Keith Hayes. 1.00 to 2.00, lunch (cost not included). 2.00 to 3.30, display of New Hebrides by Roland Klinger. 3.30 to 4.00, afternoon tea. 4.00 to 5.30, members' displays. 5.30 to 6,30, bourse (bring your surplus material for sale). 6.30 to 8.00, dinner. 8.00 to late, informal country group discussions.

 

Sunday 9.30 to 11.00, display of Tokelau by Rufus Barnes. 11.00 to 11.30, coffee. 11.30 to 1.00, members' displays. 1.00 lunch and disperse.

We have arranged three package deals, none of which include accommodation, so members may choose where to stay from a wide range of hotels and guest houses in York.

 

1. "Members' Weekend" rate is £95, to include Friday evening meal, Saturday morning and afternoon teas etc., Saturday dinner, Sunday morning refreshments and Sunday lunch.

2. "Members' Saturday" rate is £30 for morning and afternoon refreshments without dinner or £50 with dinner.

3. "Spouse/partner weekend" rate is £50 for Friday and Saturday dinner and Sunday lunch, with attendance at evening meetings if desired but not at daytime meetings.
