Auctions are currently held once or twice a year; the catalogues are sent to members along with Pacifica. There are typically about 300 lots in each sale, with a good variety of covers, postcards and non-philatelic background literature. A photocopy viewing service is available, and scans may also be available - see the auction list for details. Plenty of time is allowed for overseas members to place their bids. Bids may be sent by mail, fax or e-mail.

Our last auction, sale number 164, which closed on 21st May 2008, comprised over 450 lots including covers from the Solomon Islands, Cook Islands, Fiji (including 2006-8 overprints, mint and on covers), French Polynesia, Gilbert and Ellice Islands, New Caledonia, Niue, Samoa, Tokelau, Tonga, Vanuatu etc. Here are some of the items in that sale, with abbreviated descriptions and the realisations.

Lot 328. GEIC 1948 Ocean Island, 2.6.1948 first airmail to New Zealand. Sold for £75.

Lot 340. GEIC Canton Island 9.2.1947 first airmail to Sydney. Sold for £36.

Lot 363. German Samoa 9.8.1898 cover with Postagentur cds. Sold for £60.

Lot 445. Norfolk Island 30.1.1941 censored cover to Sydney. Sold for £130.
